GOOD is a South African social-democratic party founded in 2018 and led by Patricia de Lille. It campaigns on spatial justice, clean and capable governance, and improved municipal service delivery.
In the 2021 local elections GOOD won 42 council seats across 17 municipalities, mostly in the Western Cape (38), the Eastern Cape (2) and the Northern Cape (2).

This is a Cape Town programme, not proven uniform policy in every municipality. The old /manifesto/ page still displays 2021 and is superseded by /our-plan/. New evidence fills Q5, Q6, Q12 and Q17 and refreshes Q4, Q11, Q13 and Q14. Q3 and Q8 are cleared: affordable tariffs do not establish a legal inflation cap, and general redress does not establish race-based contract preference. Q6 is a limited inference from bringing city cleaning and maintenance back in-house, not an explicit water/electricity/refuse procurement rule. Q7 remains on the older programme. The old July 2026 policing URL did not return content, but launch-day policy provides a replacement. The 2025 Tshwane citizen-preference statement remains distinct from a complete nationality-based trading ban.
